The information area has a group-wide coordination responsibility for issues concerning Region Skåne's operational information. The area serves as the executive archive authority under the Regional Executive Board and employs over one hundred and forty staff. The operations encompass both strategic and operational functions in Region Skåne's central information supply based on our management system for operational information (LVI). Norm-setting, information management, scanning, record-keeping, e-archives, depot operations, and document management are some of our work areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of data strategist, you will work on developing and implementing strategies, processes, and guidelines for data governance and open data. You will collaborate with operations and IT to ensure that data is used in a legally secure, value-creating way that aligns with Region Skåne's overall goals.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• developing and implementing Region Skåne's strategy for data and open data
• supporting operations in complying with laws and regulations (for example, the principle of public access, the Open Data Act, and GDPR)
• driving change initiatives and the introduction of new working methods, creating engagement, and supporting Region Skåne's operations towards increased data maturity
• collaborating with national and regional actors on open data and data sharing
• developing governance models, guidelines, and processes for data governance
• communicating and educating on data issues for different target groups.

As a data strategist, you will be part of the information area at the Group Office and report to the operations manager. With us, you will have an exciting and strategic role where you can influence Region Skåne's digital development and contribute to increased societal benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a higher education degree in fields such as information science, systems science, or data management, or alternatively, another education combined with experience deemed relevant by the employer. For the position, good knowledge of open data, data governance, and information management is required. Additionally, you should have experience in driving change initiatives and building networks across organizational boundaries. Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement.

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience from a region, municipality, authority, or other politically governed organization
• knowledge of standards for data descriptions and provision
• experience working with data platforms or data engineering.

As a person, we see you as analytical, strategic, and possessing good collaboration skills. You enjoy working both independently and with others and have strong communication skills, able to explain complex issues in an easily understandable way. Additionally, you are proactive, structured, and solution-oriented. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
